Letters to Remember (Ireland)

Personal experiences of living with dementia

In September 2015, The Alzheimer Society of Ireland marked “World Alzheimer’s Awareness Month” with a poignant exhibit of "Letters to Remember", written by people affected by dementia, which went on display in various locations around Ireland.

The letters were penned by people living with dementia, including advocates with The Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland (ASI), the Irish Dementia Working Group (IDWG), as well as carers of people with dementia both living and passed on.

Each of these letters is written by a person living with dementia:

  1. Helen Rochford Brennan
  2. Kathy Ryan
  3. Ronan Smith
