2016 Ethical issues linked to the changing definitions/use of the term Alzheimer’s disease
AE's 2016 ethics report focused on ethical issues linked to the changing definitions of Alzheimer’s disease. The project was led by Dianne GOVE, Chair of the ethics working group. The members of the working group were from several different countries and had backgrounds in ethics, healthcare, psychology, biomedical research and policy making. One person from the European Working Group of People with dementia also contributed towards this work. The work resulted in the publication of a discussion paper which was finalised in December and presented at a lunch debate at the European Parliament.
